Critical Infrastructure
EPIC provided leadership in the Financial/Grants Management and Program Management support for the Office of the Deputy Mayor Public Safety & Justice (ODMPSJ), the State Administrative Agent (SAA) for the National Capital Region (NCR). As the SAA, ODMPSJ is responsible for the administration of Homeland Security Grants to all jurisdictional members of the NCR, that are charged with working in a concerted effort to properly prevent, respond, and recover from all hazardous events affecting the Washington Metropolitan Area.
In Financial/Grants Management Support, EPIC personnel was involved in the intricacies of the grants management process from grant award to closeout. In this capacity, EPIC effectively aided in monitoring the financial progress of projects funded with homeland security grant funds, ensuring adherence to financial compliance requirements and internal controls. The Washington Metropolitan Area Council of Governments Senior Policy Group and other regional partners also charged EPIC with the responsibility of tracking and monitoring all homeland security sub grant awards using monthly reporting. This included data analysis and summarization, financial reporting and analysis, as well as strategic financial planning for grants totaling approximately $167 million.
