The catalyst for this project was the Company’s request of EPIC to assess and resolve its chronic electronic mail conflict. EPIC was able to successfully resolve the conflict within a two-week period and during that time discovered additional concerns associated with the Company’s technical infrastructure. As a result, of EPIC’s efforts in resolving the electronic mail exchange conflict, the Company was given an additional contract to install a Firewall and Virtual Private Network for the Research group to safeguard its investments. EPIC was then awarded a final contract to supply Sucampo with a Systems Administrator to support the group with its architectural and daily maintenance support.
EPIC’s engagement with Sucampo was in the area of Information Assurance. This project was initiated after EPIC personnel discovered potential threats realized in researching the electronic mailing conflicts from internal staff and the Company’s research and development associates. Commissioned by the Company’s Director of Finance and Office Administrator, EPIC provided an effective and accurate assessment and validation of the Company’s IT integrity.
